Continuing Professional Development Awards 2011-12 for Registered Building Practitioners

The Building Commission's 2011-12 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Awards nomination period closed 31 December 2011.  The Award winners will be announced 26 April 2012.

The Awards recognise and reward Registered Building Practitioners (RBPs) who have contributed to the industry and excelled through further training and development. The CPD Awards celebrate RBPs who, by participating in training and development, are exemplars in developing their own skills and knowledge and consequently make a contribution to the building industry as a whole. RBPs who have participated in the required level of CPD over the past 12 months are eligible to nominate (or be nominated) in the Awards' three individual award categories: 12-Point, 15-Point or Sustainability. A fourth category is for the CPD Provider of the Year.

The CPD Awards, now in its seventh year, has proven to be a great success in celebrating those practitioners who are dedicated to further learning and to the positive contribution to an ever evolving industry. With changes to regulations, improvements in technology, methods and materials and increasing expectations among consumers, Continuing Professional Development enables RBPs to keep u with these challenges, enhancing their own skills and knowledge, and ultimately, those of the building industry. The Awards are an exciting event to celebrate the contribution of training to Victoria's built environment, so make sure you nominate yourself, a fellow RBP or a CPD provider.   Dewalt radio
