What is the Building Advisory Council?

The Building Advisory Council (BAC) is a senior industry based advisory group that advises the Minister for Planning on the administration of the Building Act 1993 and Building Regulations 2006.

It also advises the Minister on the impact of the building regulatory system established by the Act and Regulations, on issues relating to the building permit levy and any other matter referred by the Minister.
